		MICRO-PVD Fit Guide and Compatability notes

MICRO-PVD® Valve, features include:

Valve surfaces are super finished to remove stress risers and create a high gloss surface finish. All surfaces RA 4 max micro inches.

No stem undercut for moly spray increases stem column strength.

MICRO-PVD® (physical vapor deposition) coating replaces moly sprayed stem coating.

High lubricity to prevent stem galling.

PVD coating protects all valve surfaces from oxidation and alpha case forming at temperatures up to 1650 F.

Fit Notes:
- MICRO-PVD® coatings are applied to all surfaces except valve face.
- MICRO-PVD® coatings may be custom applied to any specific area of valve as requested.
- MICRO-PVD® coating on valve seat will enhance valve seat wear substantially.
- MICRO-PVD® coating is not recommended with amco-bronze valve seats.
- MICRO-PVD® coating is recommended with iron, powder metal or nickel enhanced copper valve seats of higher Rockwell hardness.
- MICRO-PVD® cannot be applies to valves with existing moly sprayed coating.
